The Winter Universiade continued in Granda, Spain from February 4 to 14. Kazakhstani skiers won three medals in mogul, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.
In Ladies’ Mogul Yuliya Galysheva won the gold with 66.00 points. Russian skier Marika Pertakhiya (59.90) took the silver and Jee-Won Seo (51.86) from South Korea landed with a bronze medal.
In Men’s Mogul, Kazakhstani skier Pavel Kolmakov won the first place with 72.45 points. He was followed by another Kazakhstani Dmitry Reikherd (68.73). Sergei Shimbuev earned a bronze medal with 62.11 points.
The Kazakhstani team earned three gold and four silver medals during the Universiade in Osrblie, Slovakia that ended on February 1. Kazakhstan retained the second place in the overall rating with 5 gold and 5 silver medals. Russia led with 14 gold, 13 silver and 15 bronze medals. Germany took Poland’s third place with 2 gold and 2 silver medals in total.
