Tengrinews.kz – Head coach of Almaty’s Kairat, Rafael Urazbakhtin, shared his thoughts and evaluation after the historic match against Real Madrid, Vesti.kz reports.
The Kazakh specialist spoke to journalists following the game.
“What is there to comment on? We’re in different weight categories. In any case, we gained invaluable experience. It’s always upsetting to lose — no matter who the opponent is. We have to accept that this is our level. We tried, we gave our best, and at times we played quite well. We created enough for at least one goal, but couldn’t score. We thanked the players for their effort, for their determination — they did well,” Urazbakhtin said.
He also outlined the team’s short-term goals.
“Now we’ll rest and get ready for our league match against Zhetysu. We need to shift focus quickly. We have three games ahead, and we’ll try to get the maximum. Our objective is to defend the championship title. Right now, league matches are more important,” the coach told Vesti.kz.
Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso also previously shared his thoughts after the match with Kairat.
