"The Dash" movie won Jury Award in Ukrainian Film Festival
Sports drama The Dash has won Special Jury Award in Stupeni (The Steps) Ukrainian International Human Rights Film Festival, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to Kazakhfilm studio press-office. “I already took part in this Festival with my short film Azhal once before and won the Audience Award as well as Festival’s General Sponsor Award then. It was my first international prize, that’s why it is very special for me. I am very glad that my first full-length movie The Dash had also been awarded with the Special Jury Prize here,” Kanagat Mustafin, director of the movie, said. The film tells about a young basket-ball player who found himself in a hospital but continued follow his dream. Young Kazakhstan actors Arystan Myrzagereyev, Assel Sadvakassova, Russian actor Gosha Kutsenko and Zhan Baizhanbayev are starring in the movie. Earlier Tengrinews.kz reported that The Dash movie was awarded at Lipetsk and Los-Angeles Film Festivals.
