Yaroslava Shvedova, a tennis player from Kazakhstan, will play against the world's No.1 tennis professional Serena Williams at the American tournament Miami Sony Open Tennis, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz. The prize pool of the tournament exceeds $5.4 million. Earlier, Kazakhstan's Shvedova together with Spanish Anabel Medina Garrigues beat the duo of Francesca Schiavone and Silvia Soler-Espinosa in the final match of the tournament in Florianopolis city. Yaroslava Shvedova has the 59th place in WTA ranking and she is the leader among her compatriots. Galina Voskoboyeva is in the 63rd place and Zarina Dias holds the 105th position. Two other Kazakhstan tennis players Yuliya Putintseva and Sesil Karatancheva are in the 154th and 167th places correspondingly. Zarina Dias of Kazakhstan has also entered the main draw of the Miami tennis tournament. To do so she had to beat Russian tennis player Varvara Flink in two sets. The game lasted for 1 hour and 27 minutes and finished with the score of 7:6, 6:1. The next rival Zarina will face is Alexandra Cadantu from Romania, who is in the 62th place in the WTA ranking.
