Galina Voskoboyeva of Kazakhstan has improved her position in the WTA ranking, Vesti.kz reports. She advanced two lines up and is now in the 79th line. Meanwhile, Yaroslava Shvedova is still Kazakhstan's No.1 tennis professional, she is in 75th place. Another Kazakhstan’s tennis professional Yuliya Putintseva is also among the TOP 100 tennis players of the world, she is the 96th position. Voskoboyeva improved her position in the WTA ranking, because she reached the doubles finals of the Guangzhou tournament together with Vania King from the United States, but they lost to Chineses Shuai Peng and Su-Wei Hsieh of Taipei in the finals. Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedov failed to win over hosting tennis professional Jie Zheng in the 1st round of that tournament. There are still no changes in the WTA TOP3 ranking. American Serena Williams still remains the leader of the ranking. Belarus’ Victoria Azarenka follows her and Russia’s Maria Sharapova is in the 3d place.
