Kazakhstan tennis professional Yaroslava Shvedova unexpectedly lost to Thailand’s 19-y.o. Luksika Kumkhumas at the Fed Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group 1 tournament, Vesti.kz reports. Shvedova started the match successfully and won the first set with the score of 6:0. Kazakhstan tennis professional was experiencing problems with her back during the second set of the match. This kept her from play in full force. As a result she lost the second set 6:4. She failed to regain her stand even after a massage and the last set ended with the score of 6:4. Earlier Kazakhstan’s Kseniya Pervak flattened Thailand’s Nudnida Luangnam 6:0, 6:1. So, the Shvedova's loss evened the score between Kazakhstan and Thailand 1:1. Galina Voskoboyeva paired with Sesil Karatantcheva played against a Thailand’s duo in the decisive doubles match.
