Earlier Kazakhstan’s Kseniya Pervak flattened Thailand’s Nudnida Luangnam 6:0, 6:1. So, the Shvedova's loss evened the score between Kazakhstan and Thailand 1:1. Galina Voskoboyeva paired with Sesil Karatantcheva played against a Thailand’s duo in the decisive doubles match.
