Talgat Yermegiyayev awarded with American Academy of Martial Arts Award

The Academy of Martial Arts awarded Talgat Yermegiyayev with the Martial Arts Oscar Award, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to Kazakhstan Sport and Physical Education Agency. “The Academy of Martial Arts made a decision to award the former chairman of Kazakhstan Sport and Physical Education Agency who currently chairs the board of National Astana-EXPO-2017 Company Talgat Yermegiyayev with the Martial Arts Oscar-2012. He will get the prize for his weighty contribution into development of sport in Kazakhstan,” the press-release reads. According to the Agency, the Academy of Martial Arts awarding ceremony is held annually in Atlantic city, New Jersey, USA. Famous politicians, businessmen, award-winning athletes and actors from all over the world usually take part in the ceremony. Martial Arts Oscar is one of the important international martial arts and combat sports prize. The Academy of Martial Arts awarding ceremony will be held on January 26 in Atlantic city this year. The 2012 London Olympic Games became the best Olympic Games in the history of Kazakhstan. Earlier Kazakhstan athletes managed to win only three gold medals during the Games (in 1996 and in 2000). Kazakhstan athletes were successful at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, when they got a total of 13 medals. Kazakhstan made it into the TOP-20 winning countries at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
