Gennady Golovkin has talked about his training at the Big Bear, his son and Ping-Pong in an interview with FightHub TV, Tengrinews reports.
According to Golovkin he has been training twice a day for the past two month at Big Bear in California. Two month training is the best option for the boxers. “(Martin Murray) is bigger and stronger. He is from a more difficult boxing class. Speed. Timing. Positioning. It is all class,” Golovkin said. Triple G added that Murray realized that this would be his last chance to win the championship title. “He is highly motivated. He is hungry (for the title),” Gennady added.
The Kazakhstani boxer said that he wanted to return to fight and train in California. Possibly, to face Cotto or Canelo at Forum, as it has a long tradition of boxing shows.
In his spare time after trainings the undefeated boxer likes to play Ping-Pong or just watch TV. He also enjoys spending time with his 5 y.o. son. “He is a smart guy. He understands. He says, Papa this is your work, your job. He asked, hey Papa after your fight maybe we can go for a vacation? He likes swimming and fishing,” the proud father said with a smile.
Golovkin added that his son is his main motivation to win.

Boxers are known for harsh diets and weight shedding, but for Triple G food is not an issue. He said he was grateful to his wife for cooking four meals a day for him. In terms of dishes, Golovkin prefers seafood and, of course like any Kazakh, he loves meat. When not training, one of the most feared middleweights loves to indulge in a cheesecake and ice cream.
Meanwhile, Golovkin is finishing his training for the fight against Martin Murray. The fight is scheduled to February 21 in Monaco. Kazakhstan TV channel will broadcast the Golovkin-Murray fight live from 01:25 AM on February 22.
