“I am not only ready, but more than willing to fight. As a young and daring fellow I want to fight with real boxers. Why else do I box if I cannot test myself in a real fight?” Chudinov, 27, said.
“I watched Golovkin’s last fight and to tell you the truth Daniel Geale disappointed me. I think it is simply logical to have a champion fight a super-champion. People say that Gennady does not have worthy opponents. But here I am, a WBA champion Dmitry Chudinov. Why do the negotiations concerning our fight drag for so long? I know that my task is to prepare at the gym, while promoters will decide when we will fight each other,” the Russian boxer said.
Chudinov debuted in the United States in 2009. He won his title in 2013 in the fight against Jorge Navaro in Russia.
Australia’s IBF middleweight Sam Soliman also wants to fight Golovkin to unify middleweight titles. The 40 y.o. Aussie boxer is considered Golovkin’s next possible opponent.
