Spaniard Daniel Juncadella, Kazakhstan's Astana racing pilot, might debut at the Formula One World Championship in 2016 as a member of Mercedes team, Vesti.kz reports.
“Mercedes is a top team at world's most prestigious races. It is impossible to join Mercedes team on commercial terms or without special training. That is why, Astana TAK Group wants Daniel to progress on the base of Williams team to gain priceless sport experience and develop his driving skills. Daniel’s prime task is to get ready to become a main Mercerdes Formula-1 pilot, to demonstrate decent sporting skills and ability to “fight” for the result. Two famous racing teams and a group of highly qualified managers and professionals are already working with Daniel," Astana team manager, Dakar-2012 prize-winner Arthur Ardavichus, said.
