Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated boxer Nazym Kyzaibay on becoming the first-ever three-time world champion in the country’s boxing history, citing the Akorda press service.
"Congratulations to Nazym Kyzaibay – the first three-time world champion in the history of Kazakh boxing. This is a remarkable achievement," the President wrote on Instagram.
"I would also like to thank the entire national team for their outstanding performance at the World Championships in Serbia. I wish our athletes continued success and new sporting heights," Tokayev added.
Kyzaibay, who also won bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics, claimed her third world championship title, setting a national record.
No Kazakhstani boxer, male or female, had previously achieved this feat.
