"By the decree of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a group of athletes and coaches from the national team were awarded state honors for their outstanding sports achievements at the XXXIII Summer Paris Olympic Games," the Akorda press service reported.

The Order of "Barys" I degree was awarded to:

Yeldos Smetov – an athlete from the RGKP "Sports Development Directorate”.

The Order of "Barys" III degree was awarded to:

Yury Vasilyevich Melnichenko – a coach at the RGKP "Sports Development Directorate”.

The "Parasat" Order was awarded to:

Galymzhan Dzhambulbekovich Dzhilgeldiev – coach at the KGKP 'School of Higher Sports Mastery'.

Askar Berikbayevich Erkebayev – coach at the RGKP 'Sports Development Directorate'.

Demeu Nurdauletovich Zhadraev – athlete at the RGKP 'Sports Development Directorate'.

Alexander Tomovich Kim – coach at the RGKP 'Sports Development Directorate'.

Boranbek Temirgalievich Konyratov – coach at the KGU 'Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery'.

Additionally, the President's Gratitude was awarded to the head coach of the national shooting team, Olga Dovgun, and the advisor to the President of the International Judo Federation, Askhat Zhıtkeev.

Kazakhstan's Olympic team secured seven medals at the Paris Games. The only gold was won by judoka Yeldos Smetov, who excelled in the under 60 kg category.

Three Kazakh athletes claimed silver medals: gymnast Nariman Kurbanov, Greco-Roman wrestler Demeu Zhadraev, and boxer Nurbek Oralbai.
