Kazakhstan powerlifting team is ranked first at the 1st Asian Classic Unequipped Powerlifting Championship, Uralskweek.kz reports. More than 250 athletes from 10 countries took part in the competition. Three Uralsk athletes represented Kazakhstan in the championship. They were Tatyana Zhukova, Aman Kapyshev and Vladimir Shkirman and all of them became winners of the tournament. Kazakhstan team won 13 medals in total, including 3 gold, 9 silver and 1 bronze medal. Tatyana Zhukova, 57-kg powerlifter, has already set 15 records (including 6 in Kazakhstan and 9 in Asia) in her professional career. Vladimir Shkirman has got 13 records (9 in Kazakhstan and 4 in Asia). Aman Kapsyhev has set 4 records at Asian championships. Aman reached the International Master of Sport qualifying standard at the Indian Asian Championship.
