Zulfiya Chinshanlo won the first gold medal for Kazakhstan in the World Weight-lifting Championship in Paris, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the official website of the Championship. Zulfiya lifted 227 kilograms (97 + 130) in total after two exercises in her 53 kilograms weight league. It is worth noting that 130 kilograms in clean and jerk is a new world record for women in this weight league. Aylin Dasdelen from Turkey won the silver medal, and Chinese Ji Jing won the bronze. Zulfiya Chinshanlo became two-time world champion. She won her first medal in 2009 when she was 16. The world championship will finish in Paris on November 13. Kazakhstan weight-lifters are expected to win several more medals in different weight leagues. Svetlana Podobedova and Ilya Ilyin, winners of the recent People's Spartakiad of Kazakhstan haven't perform in France yet.
