Olympics: Wrestler Daniyal Gajiyev won bronze in London

Kazakhstan’s Daniyal Gajiyev won bronze in Greco-Roman -84kg wrestling at the London Olympics, Vesti.kz writes. He won over Vladimir Gegeshidze from Georgia. Georgian wrestler won the first round 1:0. Gajiyev scored the same amount in the second 2-minute round. The bronze winner was defined during additional time, where Kazakhstan wrestler scored 2:0. Gajiyev’s medal is the 7th one for Kazakhstan national team. Earlier Kazakhstan Olympians won 6 gold medals. Cyclist Aleksandre Vinokourov, weightlifters Zulfiya Chinshanlo, Maiya Maneza, Svetlana Podobedova and Ilya Ilyin and athlete Olga Rypakova became Olympic champions.
