Kazakhstan President congratulated athlete Olga Rypakova on winning gold in tripple jump at London Olympics, Tengrinews.kz reports citing President’s official website. “I congratulate you on the victory in athletics and the gold medal of the 30th summer Olympic Games. Kazakhstan residents were watching your performance with big excitement. You have fully met our expectations and hopes by showing everyone that our athletes are among the best sportsmen of the world,” the congratulatory telegram states. President noted that Rypakova’s victory would become a good example for many young sportsmen of Kazakhstan and will attract thousands of children and teenagers to athletics. He wishes the sportswoman further victories and achievement of new sport heights. 27-year-old Kazakhstan's Olga Rypakova leaped a season's best of 14.98 metres in the women's triple jump on Sunday. Colombian Caterina Ibarguen claimed silver with 14.80m, with Ukraine's current world champion Olha Saladuha taking bronze with 14.79m.
