Kazakhstan racer Alexander Artemyev received invitation to take part in Russia's main winter motor race Race Stars Za Rulem (Driving) that will be held in Moscow on February 23, Vesti.kz reports. It will be the first time in the history of the Stars Racing when a Kazakhstan pilot competes for prizes of Za Rulem (Driving) magazine. Seven-time Kazakhstan motor racing champion and RRC Race Circuit Series prize-winner Alexander Artemyev will compete against Russia’s best drivers and world motor racing stars at the ice track. “My goal is to make it into the final of the race, because the best of the best drivers will take part in the final. I hope I will succeed. Now I have some problems with financial support, but I think we will prepare a good racing car for the competition,” Artemyev said. Za Rulem magazine has been organizing the Stars Racing Driving competitions since 1978. This year the race will be held at the Central Moscow Hippodrome like in 2011. Pilots will compete at the classical oval track. Alexander Artemyev was born in Almaty on August 16, 1984. He is a seven-time motor racing champion of Kazakhstan. He won five autocross champion in Kazakhstan and two Kazakhstan winter hippodrome races. He is known as a very fast driver with excellent technique. He took part in Russia’s race circuits and Russia’s winter hippodrome races in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
