91 Kazakhstan athletes have qualified for the 30th Summer Olympic Games that will be held in London on July 27-August 12, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Gulsum Zhalyalitdenova, Kazakhstan Agency for Sport and Physical Education press-secretary. Vyacheslav Podlesnyi from Pavlodar oblast and Olga Dovgun from Astana will represent Kazakhstan in the Olympics shooting sports. 8 athletes will fight for Olympics medals in weight-lifting: Zulfiya Chinshanlo, Maya Maneza, Svetlana Podobedova (all three – from Almaty oblast) and Ilya Ilyin (Kyzyl-Orda oblast), four more athletes haven’t been selected yet. Kazakhstan track-and-field athletes have gained 12 Olympic spots. Natalya Ivoninskaya (South-Kazakhstan oblast), Olga Rypakova and Anastassiya Soprunova (East Kazakhstan oblast), Irina Ektova, Yevgeniy Ektov, Margarita Matsko (North Kazakhstan oblast), Ayman Kozhakhmetova (Almaty oblast), Marina Aitova and Viktoria Zyabkina (Almaty), Georgiy Sheyko (West Kazakhstan oblast), Irina Karpova and Vyacheslav Muravyov (Karaganda oblast) will compete in Kazakhstan's national track-and-field athletics team. Kazakhstan gained 9 spots in boxing. Birzhan Zhakypov (South Kazakhstan oblast), Iylyas Suleymeov, Kanat Abutalipov, Daniyar Yeleussinov (Astana), Gani Zhaylauov (Zhambyl oblast), Serik Sapiyev (Karaganda oblast), Adilbek Niyazymbetov (Mangistau oblast) and Ivan Dychko (Kostanay oblast) qualified for the London Olympics. Zhuldyz Eshimova (Astana), Yelena Shalygina (South Kazakhstan oblast), and Guzel Manyurova (Almaty) will represent Kazakhstan in women wrestling. Daulet Niyazbekov (Kyzyl Orda oblast), Dauren Zhumagaziyev (Almaty oblast), Akzhurek Tanatarov (Zhambyl oblast), Abdulkhakim Shapiyev and Taymuraz Tigiyev (West Kazakhstan oblast), Yermek Bayduashev (South Kazakhstan oblast), and Marid Mutalimov (Mangistau oblast) qualified for the Olympic Games in free-style wrestling. Kazakhstan taekwondo athletes gained three Olympic spots. They are: Nursultan Mamyev, Feruza Yergeshova (both from South Kazakhstan oblast) and Gulnafis Aitmukhambetova (Atyrau oblast). Sergey Cherkassov from East Kazakhstan will take part in whitewater competitions, Stepan Gorbachyov (Almaty) and Moldir Azimbayeva (South Kazakhstan oblast) in gymnastics, Angelina Mishuk (South Kazakhstan oblast) in trap shooting, Anna Alyabyeva (Astana) in rhythmic gymnastics. Kazkahstan water polo team also qualified for the Olympics. Elmir Alimzhanov, Dmitriy Aleksanin and Yulia Zhivitsa (Almaty) qualified for Olympics fencing tournament.
