Willie Monroe’s trainer Tony Morgan has talked about the upcoming fight with Gennady Golovkin, a star boxer from Kazakhstan. Admitting Golovkin’s monstrous strength, Morgan was confident that his fighter had something Triple G had not seen before.

“I think (Golovkin) is the most formidable middleweight. He is a monster. But I see a lot of holes in Gennady Golovkin. I think he has not seen anybody like he is going to see Willie Monroe. I think he will be put to a whole new level. We will see how much of a monster he is. (…) There is no one out there, except Floyd Mayweather that could possibly be harder to beat that this guy,” Tony Morgan told Boxing Channel.

“I think Willie’s speed, length and movement is going to be big problems for Gennady. But don't get me wrong. We have big problems too,” Morgan admitted.

Willie Monroe is the first southpaw boxer Gennady will face in his professional career. The Golovkin-Monroe fight is scheduled to May 16 in the USA.

Golovkin’s last fight took place in Monte Carlo against Martin Murray on February 21. The undefeated Kazakhstan defended his WBA Super, IBO and WBC Interim middleweight championship belts.
