On 5th January Diyas moved up from her previous record - the 33rd line, which she reached on November 10, 2014.
The Kazakh tennis player started this year with a victory at the WTA tennis tournament series in Shenzhen (China) with a prize pool of $500,000. In the first match of the first round, the 21-year-old player, seeded fourth in the tournament, beat 18-year-old Croatian tennis player Donna Vekić. Zarina’s next opponent will be Tímea Babos of Hungary.
Another tennis player representing Kazakhstan Yaroslava Shvedova, who is also in the WTA Top-100, has moved down from the 65th to the 66th position.
Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva rose from the 115th to the 113th place and Galina Voskoboyeva - from the 259th to the 258th place.
