Kazakhstan cross-country skier Alexey Poltoranin won the fifth stage, a 5km classic individual of Tour de Ski competition that was held in Italy’s city of Toblach as part of the seventh stage of Cross-Country Skiing World Cup, Vesti.kz reports. Kazakhstan athlete was faster than Norway’s Petter Northug and Switzerland’s Dario Cologna in men’s 5km classic individual race. Poltoranin was 8 seconds ahead of the 26-y.o. Norway’s athlete. As for Northug he managed to become second winning over Cologna by a mere 0.2 seconds.
