Tengrinews.kz – Today, February 20, eight athletes from Kazakhstan will compete at the Winter Olympics in Italy.
The competition day will kick off with freestyle acrobats: Asan Asylkhan, Sherzod Khashirbayev, Dinmukhamed Raimkulov, and Roman Ivanov. The first qualification round will begin at 2:30 PM.
At 8:30 PM, speed skaters Nadezhda Morozova, Elizaveta Golubeva, and Arina Ilyashenko will race in the 1500-meter event.
The day for Kazakhstan will conclude with short track events: Olga Tikhonova and Yana Khan will begin their battle for medals in the 1500-meter quarterfinals at 12:15 AM.
All competitions will be broadcast live on Qazsport, as well as the Jibek Joly and Khabar channels.
As of February 20, Kazakhstan has one medal—a gold by Mikhail Shaydarov in men’s singles figure skating.
