Almaty’s Kairat FC has defeated the Scottish Aberdeen FC during the first leg of the Europa League third qualifying, Tengrinews reports citing Kazsport.
The football match took place on July 30 at the Almaty’s Central Stadium. Kairat FC won Aberdeen FC with the score of 2:1.
On the 13th minute, Mikhail Bakayev opened the score. In 9 minutes, Bakayev’s teammate Baurzhan Islamkhan scored the second goal with a 30-yard strike.
In the second half, Kenny McLean managed to score against Kairat.
Kairat FC is travelling to Pittodrie, Aberdeen for the return leg on August 6.
