Galina Vishnevskaya, a biathlete from Kazakhstan, has won a gold medal at the Youth and Junior World Championship in the United States, Vesti.kz reports. Galina Vishnevskaya won the 10km pursuit, despite missing two shots. The 2nd place went to Luise Kummer of Germany; she was almost one minute behind Kazakh athlete and had no missed shots. The bronze was taken by Canadian biathlete Sarah Beaudry. Other biathletes from Kazakhstan Alexandra Sasina, Anastasia Kondratyeva and Valentina Saulenko finished the distance in the 30th, 34th and 45th places respectively. 20-y.o. Galina Vishnevskaya also won silver in sprint, losing to Russian Yeveniya Pavlova. The Junior World Championship started on March 1 in the United States and will last till March 7. Galina Vishnevskaya competed in women's individual and sprint competitions at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
