Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s top-ranked tennis player Alexander Bublik claimed the ATP 250 title in Gstaad, Switzerland, marking his first career victory on clay.
According to the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation, the 27-year-old defeated Argentina’s Juan Manuel Cerúndolo — ranked No. 109 in the world — in a hard-fought three-set final, 6:4, 4:6, 6:3.
The win pushes Bublik up four spots in the ATP Live Rankings, placing him at No. 30.
This is Bublik’s second trophy of the 2025 season and the sixth ATP title of his career. His previous titles include:
- ATP 250 Montpellier (2022, 2024)
- ATP 500 Halle (2023, 2025)
- ATP 250 Antwerp (2023)
Gstaad marks a milestone as his first triumph on clay, further cementing his status as one of Kazakhstan’s most successful tennis players.
