Kazakhstani MMA fighter Igor “Lion Heart” Svirid has won the Middlweight World Champion title in the ONE FC (ONE Fighting Championship) championship in Singapore on November 7, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz

Kazakhstani MMA fighter Igor “Lion Heart” Svirid has won the Middlweight World Champion title in the ONE FC (ONE Fighting Championship) championship in Singapore on November 7, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz

The 28 y.o. Kazakhstani KOed his Brazilian opponent Leandro Ataides in the beginning of the first round.

Earlier this summer, Svirid defeated a fellow Kazakhstani Ramzan Algireev from Alash Pride in Chechnya at the Grant-Prix Berkut.

ONE Fighting Championship is Asia's largest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization with the headquarters in Singapore. ONE FC has over 90% market share in Asia.

Svirid (10-1-0) lives and trains in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The fighter competes individually and does not fight for any MMA organization. He started his career in the MMA in April 2011. Despite his loss in the first fight, Svirid won all 9 following fights.
