Kazakhstani Daniya Tleumbetova has become the second time world champion at the 6th World Women Physique in Mumbai, India, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.
Previously, Miss Tleumbetova won the competition in 2013. She is the two-time champion of Asia and the champion of Kazakhstan.
In an interview with Vesti.kz, Miss Tleumbetova talked about her training and the competition.
“The World Championship went well. Though there we did not get any help from the local federation. We were not met at the airport and got lost. We had lots of problems in the beginning and were very nervous because of the poor organization of the event,” Miss Tleumbetova said.
The sportswoman said that her main competitors were from Brazil, Thailand, Ukraine, Hungary, Mongolia, Serbia and India and they were very well prepared.
The World Champion prepared rigorously for the championship. “This year, I performed more naturally, because I had to defend my title. I was preparing for a long time. There were a number of tournaments throughout the year. Before stepping on the stage this time I was more confident than last year. I have had some great progress this year. I knew I was the best. My trainer Kairat Syzdykov and I have done lots of work together. It was both physical and mental work,” Miss Tleumbetova said.
For now, the former ballet dancer and current two times World Champion plans to take a vacation. Soon, she will start training for the Arnold Classic in Spain.
Another Kazakhstani Gulmira Makambayeva won the bronze at the World Championship in the -170 cm category.
The 6th WBPF Championship 2014 took place in Mumbai from December 5th to 11th.
