Kazakhstani athletes have brought the sixth gold at the Universiade Gwangju 2015, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz
Viktoria Zyabkina, Yuliya Rakhmanova, Svetlana Ivanchukova and Anastasiya Tulapina won the Women's Relay 100m in 44.58 seconds. American athletes followed with 44.95 seconds. Athletes from Thailand landed on the third place with 45.03.
Kazakhstan took the 11th place in the overall medal count. All in all Kazakhstan earned 6 gold medals and 4 bronze medals.
The summer Unversiade took place Gwangju, South Korea. Athletes from 148 countries competed for 272 sets of medals during 11 days in 21 sport events. The Universiade consisted of 13 compulsory sports: basketball, water polo, volleyball, judo, athletics, swimming, diving, tennis, table tennis, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, football and fencing. Baseball, handball, golf, archery and taekwondo were added only this year.
