Kazakhstan wins 30 licences for Sochi Olympics

Kazakhstan has won around 30 licenses for the 22nd winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Sport and Physical Culture Agency. “Around 30 licenses to the coming 22nd winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, have been won,” the press-service writes. Kazakhstan figure skater Denis Ten won the silver medal at the World Figure Skating Cup in Canadian London. This is the first medal won by Kazakhstan’s figure skaters at the world championship in the history of Kazakhstan’s figure skating. Ten won two Olympic licenses for the 22nd winter Olympics in Sochi. Besides, the world speedskating cup was recently held in Sochi where Kazakhstan’s Denis Kuzin won the 1,000-meter race gold medal for the first time in the history of Kazakhstan. The 22nd Olympics will be held in Sochi on February 7-23, 2014.
