Young Kazakhstan weightlifter Nadezhda Nogai, +69kg, won a gold medal at the world championship among juniors under 17 held in Slovakia, Vesti.kz writes. The 16-y.o. sportswoman lifted the total of 268kg. She improved her own world record in snatch by lifting 123kg and managed 145kg in clean and jerk. The results of the closest competitors were far from Nadezhda’s ones. Another Kazakhstan sportswoman Viktoria Vagner, who won silver at the competition, lifted the total of 230kg. Ukrainian Anastasia Romanova won bronze with a 216kg total. This is Nadezhda’s third victory in the world championships. In 2011 she won junior championships in Peru and Malaysia. In Malaysia the weightlifter, who just turned 15, competed and won against 20-y.o. sportswomen. Earlier Kyzylorda weightlifter Galym Zhubatkanov and 16-y.o. Albert Linder (Almaty oblast) won bronze at the world championship in Slovakia in -77kg and -69 kg categories, correspondingly.
