Kazakhstan national weight-lifting team plans to gain five medals in the 2012 Olympic Games that will be held in London on July 27 – August 12, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Sport.kz. Alexey Ni, head coach of the team, said that Kazakhstan weight-lifters would manage to gain three gold medals at the best case. When asked about the current shape of the team, Alexey Ni said: “We have just started to train and it is too early to talk about our readiness for London.” The head coach hasn't decided yet if he would leave his post after the Olympics. Ni added that there were no conflicts in the team. Kazakhstan team won two gold medals and two silver ones in Paris Championship that was held on November 2011. After the Championship Ni gave an interview in which he said that Paris referees tried to derail Kazakhstan sportsmen. “Nobody is impervious to unjust refereeing, but I hope London Olympics refereeing would be fair and reasonable,” the head coach said.
