Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with Gennady Golovkin, the President of the National Olympic Committee.
Kasym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the readiness of the national team for the Olympic Games in Paris.
"Gennady Golovkin spoke about sectoral educational projects and international activities of the NOC. According to him, cooperation with the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia and partners from other countries is being strengthened," the press service of Akorda noted.
Former WBA, WBC and IBF middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin has taken the place of Kazakh billionaire Timur Kulibayev as president of the National Olympic Committee. The new appointment of the boxer became known after the meeting of the General Assembly of the NOC. After this event it was decided that the Olympic Games in Paris would be run with GGG.
Previously, Tokayev met with Kazakhstan's olympic team.
