Seven paralympians will represent Kazakhstan at London Olympics, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-secretary of Kazakhstan Sports and Physical Culture Agency Gulsum Zhalyalitdenova. Aibek Abzhan and Kabira Askarova both from Kyzylorda oblast will compete in power-lifting. Anuar Akhmetov from Astana and Zulfiya Gabidullina from Zhambyl oblast will represent Kazakhstan in swimming. Sergey Kharlamov (North-Kazakhstan oblast), Islam Salimov (Kyzylorda oblast) and Ainur Baidullayeva (Almaty oblast) will compete for medals in track-and-field. Besides, the Agency states that the Paralympic sportsmen will be awarded $50 thousand each for golden medals. The second place will be rewarded by $35 thousand and those who win bronze medals will get $25 thousand. The sportsmen winning fourth, fifth or sixth places will also get $14, $6 and $4 thousand, correspondingly. Summer Paralympic Games-2012 will be held on August 29 to September 9, 2012. Around 4.2 thousand sportsmen will compete for 502 medals in 20 sports.
