Dinamo Physical Training and Sports Society has arranged an official farewell to the sportsmen going to London Olympics, Vesti.kz reports. “We have gathered here today to wish our sportsmen good luck. We hope that these Olympics will see the achievements of our sportsmen and we hope place out hopes in certain sports and certain sportsmen. We will not make any forecasts, but we have hopes,” chairman of the Society and Kazakhstan Interior Ministry Kalmukhambet Kassymov said. “Our team is ready to compete for the first places. Our sportsmen in every weight are able to win medals. Being the main Olympics hope inspires me with an even greater desire to win the medal. We have the last preparatory gathering left in Austria and we will go to London from there,” judoka Maksim Rakov, one of the main hopes of the Kazakhstan, said. “We are set to win after our long way to these games. We have been training, we are still training. We don’t think about anything else. I hope for a medal and will strive for it and do everything possible,” epee fencer Elmir Alimzhanov promised. The management of Dinamo has given all the sportsmen monetary awards and gifts. 64 representatives of the Society will take part in London-2012. Last Olympics were attended by 63 Dinamo athletes who won 11 medals out of 13. “Today we have come to make our Olympic contribution, so that it inspires you and your victories. Be more daring in front of your competitors, don’t be afraid of them. Let luck be with you. Do your job and come back with medals,” Olympics champion Olga Shishigina told the sportsmen. The first group of Kazakhstan national team will leave for London on July 18, the others will go to Great Britain according to the tournaments schedule. 114 Kazakhstan sportsmen have won the licenses. The sportsmen plan to win at least 13 different medals, including 3 golden ones. London Olympics-2012 will be held on June 27 to August 12.
