Tengrinews.kz – Today, 12 February, athletes from Kazakhstan will compete in alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing, and speed skating at the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina (Italy).


Tengrinews.kz – Today, 12 February, athletes from Kazakhstan will compete in alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing, and speed skating at the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina (Italy).

On the sixth day of the Olympics, seven Kazakhstani athletes will start; all of them will perform in finals and will fight for medals.

At 3:30 PM the alpine skiing super-G final will begin, where Alexandra Skorokhodova will represent Kazakhstan.

At 4:15 PM the men’s freestyle moguls final will start: Pavel Kolmakov qualified directly for the final, finishing ninth in the qualification round.

Four Kazakhstani athletes will line up for the 10 km individual start cross-country race: Nadezhda Stepashkina, Kseniya Shalygina, Anna Melnik, and Darya Ryazhko. The battle for medals in this event will begin at 5:00 PM.

Kazakhstan’s day at the Games will be rounded off at 8:30 PM by speed skater Nadezhda Morozova, who will race in the 5,000 meters.

All the events are being broadcast live on the Qazsport TV channel’s website, as well as on the Jibek Joly and Khabar TV channels.
