This marks the most successful Paralympic performance in Kazakhstan's history, surpassing the previous record of five medals won at the Tokyo Games. This year, Kazakh athletes significantly improved their results.
Two athletes emerged as Paralympic champions, claiming gold: David Degtyarev (para powerlifting) and Akmaral Nawatbek (para judo).

It’s worth noting that this is the first time Paris has hosted the Paralympic Games, and the second time the event has been held in France, the first being in Tignes and Albertville in 1992.
