Kazakhstan weight-lifting team became third in the overall ranking at World Championship in Paris, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to the official website of the event. Kazakhstan sportsmen in France yielded two gold medals to Chinese and Russian weight-lifters. Zulfiya Chinshanlo and Ilya Ilyin won gold medals for Kazakhstan national team. Svetlana Podobedova and Maya Maneza won the silver medals in the Championship. It is worth noting that Maria Grabovetskaya, a Beijing Olympic bronze winner wasn't able to compete in the French Championship due to an injury. The Championship took place on November 5-13. Russian sportsmen gained eight medals, including four gold ones. Chinese weight lifters won 13 medals, including six gold ones. Besides the medals Olympic spots for the 2012 London Olympic Games were also up for taking at the World Championship.
