Kazakhstan boxers plan to gain four spots for London Olympic Games at Astana tournament that will be held on March 30 – April 8 next year in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Kazakhstan Boxing Federation press-office. “We have already won six spots out of ten possible. We are going to gain the rest at the Continental Championship in Astana. It will be our last chance to reach the Olympics Games. There will be no more qualifying tournaments. It is worth saying that the sportsmen who have already qualified for the Olympics, won't fight in Astana,” press-office said. The boxers who will fight in Astana tournament have not yet been selected, the Federation administration added. There is still no information on how many foreign sportsmen will come to Astana either. The total of twenty five Olympic spots will be raffled off at the Championship. Kazakhstan boxers gained five Olympic spots at the World Championship that was held in Baku recently. Kanat Abutalipov had qualified for the Olympics before that. Gani Zhaylauov, Serik Sapiyev, Danabek Suzhanov, Adilbek Niyazymbetov and Ivan Dychko are expected to fight in London next year.
