Yelena Shalygina, 67 kilograms weight league Kazakhstan wrestler, became the Asian champion by winning all three matches. She overpowered Vietnamese Thi Loan Pham 8:1, Chinese Xinyu Liu 0:1, 1:0, 1:0 and Mongolian Bayarzayu Tsenderdorj 1:0, 4:0. Guzel Manyurova, 72 kilograms weight league Kazakhstan wrestler, won over Korean Ip-Sae Bae 1:0 and Chinese Yan Khong 3:0. Manyurova overcame Mongolian Odonchimeg Badrakh 0:1, 1:0, 4:0 in the final match of the Championship. Guzel Manyurova became the Asian Champion for the second year in a row.
