Tengrinews.kz – Three Kazakhstani boxers will enter the ring today, December 5, at the IBA Men’s World Boxing Championships in Dubai (UAE).
Bronze medalists of the Asian Boxing Championships Sanatali Toltayev and Yerasyl Zhakpekov, as well as World Cup stage winner in Brazil Daulet Tulemissov, will compete on the second day of the tournament.
As a reminder, each competition day features two sessions — at 18:00 and 22:00 Astana time. Toltayev will fight in the under-67 kg category against Gerald Kabinda of Zambia during the first session.
Yerasyl Zhakpekov (up to 80 kg) will face Zugrana Ebenezer of Burkina Faso, while Daulet Tulemissov (up to 86 kg) will meet Ramon Batajello Souza of Brazil. Both bouts are scheduled for the second session.
In Kazakhstan, all matches will be broadcast live on QArena and on the channel’s official website.
The Kazakh national team is competing in all 13 weight categories at the World Championships. Yesterday, the squad earned its first victory when Nurmagamed Yusupov secured a knockout win in the under-92 kg division.
