On the sidelines of a government meeting, the head of the ministry was asked what result he expects from the upcoming Games.

"At the previous Asian Games, the team took fourth place in the overall team ranking. In these Asian Games, we are counting on gold medals in such disciplines as speed skating, short track, skiing and biathlon.

We have been systematically preparing and will not expect the worst result. In these four sports, our team plans to show high results, which have already been confirmed at the cup stages. These are not just forecasts - according to current results, our athletes are leaders among Asian countries," Myrzabossynov commented.

The Winter Asian Games will be held in Harbin (China) from February 7 to 14. The opening ceremony will be held on February 7 at the Harbin Stadium sports facility. The competitions will be held under the motto "Dream of Winter, Love among Asia."
