Kazakhstan national team has advanced to the 9th place in the general ranking after four days of Universiade 2013 in Kazan, Vesti.kz reports. After the third day of the tournament Kazakhstan was in the 12th line. Kazakhstan athletes won four medals, including one gold, on the 4th day of the Universiade. Margarita Mukasheva won the gold medal for the national team in athletics. She had no equals in the women's 800m final. Margarita set a new national record by covering the distance in 1:58.96 seconds. This victory is the second gold of Kazakhstan's athletes at the championship. Belt wrestler Eskarkhan Oskanov (-100kg) and weightlifter Karina Goricheva (-63kg, total of 227kg (102+125) won silver medals at the tournament. Yevgeniy Ektov took bronze in triple jump. Now Kazakhstan has a total of 9 medals (2 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze). Russian team is confidently leading in the general ranking with a total of 77 medals (39 gold, 16 silver, 22 bronze). Kazakhstan boxers Rustam Rustamov and Zhan Kossobutyskiy, who have reached the finals, may also win gold medals for Kazakhstan at the Universiade.
