In the semi-finals of the competition Kazakh athlete appeared against the winner of the Asian Games 2022, the representative of China Wu Yu. According to the results of two rounds, the Chinese boxer was stronger. In the final interval, she consolidated her result and won 4-1, securing her passage to the final.

Despite losing in the semi-finals, Kyzaibay will get a bronze medal at the Olympics.
