Kazakhstan boxer Gennady Golovkin will defend his WBA (World Boxing Association) champion's title on December 10 in Dusseldorf, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to Championat.com. Kazakhstan boxer will fight against American Lajuan Simon. The match is largely viewed as a warming up fight before a super-heavy weight match between Ukrainian Vladimir Klichko and French Jean Marc Mormeck. “I am excited that my match will be a part of Vladimir Klichko's grand show that will be held at one of the best football stadiums in Europe. I will try to use this opportunity and and to demonstrate my talent to the fans at the stadium and those watching the match on TV,” Kazakhstan boxer said. Earlier Tengrinews.kz reported that Golovkin had planned to defend his title in Kazakhstan. However, the date of this match was moved several times. Golovkin won the title in August 2010 by knocking down Columbian Milton Nunez in starting round of the match.
