Kazakh athletes in the fight for Olympic medals: where and when to watch

Tengrinews.kz – Today, 18 February, eight Kazakhstani athletes will compete in four events at the Winter Olympic Games in Italy.

The competition day for our team will begin on the ski course: Darya Ryazhko and Nadezhda Stepashkina will take part in the women’s team sprint race (start at 1:45 PM), and Nail Bashmakov and Amirgali Muratbekov in the men’s event (at 2:15 PM).

The broadcast will be available on the Khabar TV channel and its official website.

At 2:00 PM, the competitions in freestyle skiing (aerials) and alpine slalom will start. In freestyle, Kazakhstan will be represented by Ayana Zholdas, and Alexandra Skorokhodova will compete in the slalom. The broadcast will be available on the Qazsport website and on the Jibek Joly channel.

During the night of 18 to 19 February, the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final in short track speed skating over the 500-meter distance will take place. Both Kazakhstani skaters, Abzal Azhgaliyev and Denis Nikisha, have passed qualification and will continue their fight for medals.

The broadcast on the Qazsport channel will start at 12:15 AM.

It should be recalled that Abzal Azhgaliyev’s qualification for the Olympic quarterfinal has already gone viral thanks to his unusual finish in that race.
