Kazakh athletes advanced to semifinals of the 2025 Asian Games in short track speed skating

Tengrinews.kz – Short track competitions have begun in Harbin, China, at the 2025 Asian Games, citing the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan.

In the women's 1500-meter race, three athletes from the Kazakhstan team advanced to the semifinals.

Alina Azhgaliyeva, Madina Zhanbussinova, and Olga Tikhonova successfully passed the quarterfinal round.

In their respective heats, Azhgaliyeva and Zhanbusinova finished third, while Tikhonova secured victory.

The semifinals and finals will take place tomorrow, February 8.
