Light middleweight Kanat Islam from Kazakhstan has shown that he does not have a “glass chin” by winning against an experienced orthodox boxer from Columbia Emilio “El Tornado” Julio Julio who has 20 KOs in his record, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz. The sturdy Kazakh pounded his way to the 15th win in the professional ring, adding to his previous 13 KOs. It was a fight of determination on Islam’s side and experience on Emilio’s side. The Columbian “El Tornado” had 42 fights with 28 wins (20 KOs) and 12 loses (9 KOs). The Kazakh’s next fight will take place at Scala Bay Club in Miami on December 14. The opponent is to be announced soon. On December 19, 2012 Islam won the WBA Fedecaribe title in light middleweight. Before that, on November 9 he won over super middle weight Junior Ramos in the first round by referees technical decision (RTD) in the Dominican Republic.
