Tengrinews.kz – Goalkeeper of Almaty’s “Kairat” and the Kazakhstan national football team, Temirlan Anarbekov, shared his thoughts on returning to the national squad.
Temirlan Anarbekov received a call-up to the senior national team of Kazakhstan and was later included in the squad list for the World Cup qualifying match.
In response, Anarbekov expressed his happiness about rejoining the team and his hopes to create a new chapter of success, similar to Kairat’s historic match in the Champions League:
"It’s been a long time since I was last called up. The last time was during training camps in Turkey. I’m glad to return. Now we must shift focus from club games and get ready for national team matches. God willing, I hope we can win. We’re currently in training, and I believe we’re ready.
That match ('Kairat' vs 'Celtic') has already gone down in history. I believe we can make history with the national team as well. It wasn’t just my achievement — it was a team effort. Thanks to the coaching staff and management who believed in me. I hope to catch my momentum and show what I can do with the national team. I also want to sincerely thank the fans for all their support," said Anarbekov.
