Kazakhstan’s boxer Ivan Dychko, the Olympic Games bronze winner, has been triumphantly welcomed in Kostanay, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to Khabar TV channel. He drove a lap of honor along the streets of Kostanay escorted by motorcycles. Ivan Dychko, super heavy weight boxer, was born in Kostanay oblast in Rudny town. He turned 22 on August 11 this year. The boxer is not going to be satisfied with what has already been achieved. According to Ivan, he will be training intensively for the next four years to take part in the 31st Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. At present Ivan is the most popular athlete in the oblast. Apart from the 2012 Olympic Games bronze medal he won a silver medal in the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, was third in the World Boxing Championship in Baku last year, won the Kazakhstan National Championships and got other awards. When asked what helped him win the Olympic bronze, Ivan answered: “My determination helped me win. I wanted to see Kazakhstan flag hoisted high.”
