Kazakhstan weight-lifters Ilya Ilyin and Zulfiya Chinshanlo, winners of the world weight-lifting championship, will get $15000 each from the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reported, citing Kairat Tulykhanov, president of Weight-Lifting Federation of Kazakhstan. Svetlana Podobedova and Maya Maneza, who won silver medals in the Championship in Paris on November 5-13 will get a reward in the amount of $7500 each. According to Turlykhanov, the weight-lifters will be awarded with the money at one of their nearest training camp. At the present moment the national team is on vacation. Earlier Tengrinews.kz reported that Akimat (local administration) of Kyzyl-Orda oblast presented Ilyin with 4 million tenge certificate ($27000). Kazakhstan became third in the overall standing in Paris World Championship, yielding the victory to Russian and Chinese weight-lifters only.
